Marcella Cartledge

I am a fifth-year Ph.D. student in Economics at the University of Virginia. My interests are primarily in labor economics and public economics. Current research topics include the impacts of cash-plus-job-training programs on young adults and the effects of expected product bans on consumer behavior.

I am also a research fellow at the Jain Family Institute where I work on research related to the renewable energy transition.

Prior to my graduate studies, I worked as a research associate at the Jain Family Institute. I received my M.A. in Economics from Columbia University and my B.S. in Economics from Arizona State University, where I was an NCAA cross country and track & field athlete.
